Traffic & Transportation in Heber

If you live in Heber, you don’t need a study or a survey to tell you traffic is a problem — you live it every day. Main Street backs up, commutes take longer, and simple errands feel like a hassle.

This isn’t just inconvenient. Traffic hurts our local economy, makes our roads less safe, and takes time away from families.

The Heber Bypass: Long Overdue

For years, residents have been promised relief through the Heber Valley Bypass — but it still isn’t done. Every delay means more congestion, more frustration, and more risk to our small-town quality of life.

As your councilmember, I’ll be a strong voice to:

  • Push state and local leaders to prioritize funding and construction of the bypass.

  • Keep residents informed with clear, honest updates on progress.

  • Make sure the bypass is built in a way that improves our traffic flow without sacrificing what makes Heber special.

Smarter Local Solutions

While the bypass is the biggest piece of the puzzle, there are other steps we can take to improve traffic and transportation right now:

  • Better traffic flow on Main Street: Practical fixes like signal timing, crosswalk improvements, and turning-lane adjustments.

  • Safe routes for families: Sidewalk and trail connections so kids can walk and bike safely.

  • Coordinated planning: Growth decisions that account for traffic impact before developments get approved.

My Commitment

I’m not interested in more studies that sit on a shelf. I’m interested in solutions that make life better for people who live here now. That means less time stuck in traffic, safer roads, and more time at home with the people you love.

Traffic is Heber’s number one problem — and I’ll treat it like it.
